What is a CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide?
A CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide is a secure, interactive Web service, allowing easy access to update and manage information important to the care of your loved one. As your loved one’s needs change, you can quickly add or remove relevant care information in CareGiver360®, with instant availability for viewing by all users.
How much does CareGiver360® cost to use?
We provide free access for the first 30 days after which your CareGiver360® subscription costs $39.95 per year and is automatically charged to your credit card.
CareGiver360® is free to the caregivers that you provide access to for your Personal Care Guide. There is no charge to doctors, therapists, teachers, family members or any other user to whom you provide access.
Do I have to install special software?
No. CareGiver360® is Web-based, so the only thing that’s needed to use the service is an Internet connection.
What are the technical requirements for using CareGiver360®?
To access CareGiver360®, you need a computer with an Internet connection, a valid e-mail address and a current Internet browser. There are no minimum system requirements.
Why do I need to register with CareGiver360®?
In order to create or visit a CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide, you will need to register with us. By registering, you will help us maintain your privacy, allow us to contact you if there is a problem with your account and provide you with information about our service.
What sort of training is needed?
None. Setting up a CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide is a simple process that takes just a few minutes. Our service is very easy to understand and use.
How does CareGiver360® protect my privacy?
We will never sell your personal or account information, nor will it be made publicly accessible. Your information will not be shared with anyone unless you provide Personal Care Guide access to a third party. When your account is initially created, you are the only one who can view and edit it. All communication throughout the network is encrypted between endpoints. CareGiver360® has established the administrative, physical and technical safeguards to ensure the environment is HIPAA compliant. The CareGiver360® Website utilizes SSL technology to encrypt and decrypt the information between your web browser and our servers to protect your information as it travels through the Internet.
How do I create a Personal Care Guide in CareGiver360®?
Creating a Personal Care Guide in CareGiver360® is easy. Access CareGiver360® via the Internet, complete an online interview, and CareGiver360® generates your Personal Care Guide. Once you access your Personal Care Guide, you can upload personal information, videos and content for your loved one. For more information, view the CareGiver360® User Instructions manual.
Can I create a CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide if I do not have an e-mail address?
CareGiver360® requires that you have a valid, working e-mail address to create a CareGiver360® account.
How do I log in?
In order to log in, you must first be registered with CareGiver360®. During registration, you will create a username and password that you will use to sign in to CareGiver360®.
What if I forgot my username?
At this time, you will need to contact customer support for your username.
What if I forgot my password?
If you forget your password, click the Help link on the CareGiver360® log in screen and follow the instructions to create a new password.
Will I ever get any e-mails from CareGiver360®?
Yes. You will receive emails to help you through the registration process and will periodically receive updates as the folks at CareGiver360® strive to keep you informed of improvements in the system that will enhance your experience.
What is the role of the Personal Care Guide Manager?
The Personal Care Guide Manager creates and updates the CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide, and manages user access. This person is typically a close family member or friend of the individual.
Who are the Personal Care Guide users?
Personal Care Guide users are individuals who have been granted permission to access the Personal Care Guide. This includes family members, teachers, doctors, friends, professional caregivers, or any other person who cares for the individual. Levels of access, such as read only and update, are determined by the Personal Care Guide Manager.
How can I share access to my Personal Care Guide?
As the CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide Manager, you have the ability to share access at any time. For more information, view the CareGiver360® User Instructions manual.
Can a Personal Care Guide have more than one contributor?
Yes. The Personal Care Guide manager can grant permissions to other users to allow them to update information and add content to the Personal Care Guide.
How long does a CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide stay active?
Your CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide remains active for as long as your account remains current.
How do I change the e-mail address on the Personal Care Guide?
To change the email address in a CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide account, click on the user name at the top of the screen, then update the E-mail Address field located under Care Guide Info.
How do I change my account information or my password?
To change your account information or password, click on the user name at the top of the screen, then update the Password fields located under Security Info.
How do I block a user?
As the Care Guide manager, you have the ability to change or deactivate access at any time.
1. Click on the Manage Care Guide Users link.
2. Click on the Assign Care Guide Role link.
3. Select the user name.
4. Remove any Selected Roles.
5. Click the Save button.
How do I post a Personal Care Guide photo?
To post a photo of your loved one:
1. Click on the Edit Care Guide link.
2. Scroll to Photograph.
3. Click the Select button.
4. Browse for your photo and attach.
How do I post a video?
The CareGiver360® staff will assist you in converting your video files to a Flash (.flv) file for posting. For more information, view the CareGiver360® User Instructions manual.
How do I deactivate my Personal Care Guide?
If you are finished using your Personal Care Guide and would like to permanently delete it from our system, please contact our customer support team.
What happens to the information after I deactivate my Personal Care Guide?
Your information is securely stored and will eventually be purged from CareGiver360®. Contact our Customer Care Team at customercare@caregiver360.com if you would like assistance in transferring your personal information to a file on your computer.
How do I check the spelling of my update/message?
CareGiver360® does not support spellchecking at this time. Check back in the future for updates about new features.
Can I post graphics and music on my Personal Care Guide?
CareGiver360® does not currently support the ability to post graphics and music on a Personal Care Guide. Check back in the future for updates about new features.
What do I do when I receive the message “Your Browser does not allow cookies”?
You must change your settings to allow cookies in order to use CareGiver360®.
How do I remove content that is not appropriate to my CareGiver360® Personal Care Guide?
CareGiver360® attaches content that is relevant to your Care Guide based on answers you provide during the interview process. The CareGiver360® staff makes every attempt to tailor content specific to your needs, yet there are times when the information provided may not apply to your Personal Care Guide. Simply click the Remove icon to the right of the content line item to remove it from your Personal Care Guide.
